Beau Brummie
Club Mascot

beau

The Club Mascot in his present form has been around since the mid 1990's and has become a familiar site at St Andrews. His aim is to primarily entertain the younger Blues fans, but he is also known for athleticism as he runs around the pitch, just before the teams emerge from the tunnel. The  origins of Beau Brummie can be seen from Blues programmes during the 1960's. Where cartoons featuring the dog like Beau Brummie were featured:

However it has been mentioned to me that the term 'Beau Brummie' was originally bestowed on a fan, who used to 'dress up' to go to games. Can anyone shed any light on this? If so please e-mail me
